The park empties. The cafes fill. Walk the rhythm in between.

Why XUANTHUY, why now

Xuan Thuy is one of Thao Dien's two most international, densely walkable strips packed with bars, restaurants, galleries and cafes. A genuine day to night cluster distinct from the generic Thao Dien entries.

1. Thao Dien Park

Thao Dien Park opens the course because morning here resets the route. The green along the river gives you clean air and open space before the strip fills, and the crew likes starting wide before narrowing into cafe rhythm. It's the only stop on Xuan Thuy where kids and runners share the same clock, so you catch the neighborhood waking up in real time.

Crew's note

The playground empties before noon. The trees hold the quiet.

2. Hong Cafe

Hong Cafe closes the course because it sits right on the river and holds the rest of the morning without rushing it. The crew puts egg coffee here at the end so you can settle into a longer seat after the park loop, and the strip's walkable density means you've already passed half the galleries and storefronts on your way here. This is where the route exhales.

Crew's note

The chairs rock themselves. Nobody's waiting.

The walk between

The walk from the park to Hong Cafe threads through Xuan Thuy's core, the strip the scout research calls densely walkable and international. You'll pass cafes, galleries, and storefronts that make this stretch distinct from the rest of Thao Dien.

  • Start the park loop early, before 9 a.m., so you finish before the playground fills and the heat holds.
  • Order egg coffee at Hong and take a riverside seat if the morning still feels cool. The crew pairs this stop with a long sit, not a quick drink.

Yes, bike parking runs about 4,000 to 6,000 dong according to visitors. The park itself is free to enter.
Does Hong Cafe get crowded on weekends?
Visitor patterns suggest it's busier after group runs and in the late morning. Aim for the earlier window if you want a pick of riverside seats without a wait.
