The river slows here. Wine by the quay, no one rushing you.

Why KHANHHOI, why now

Khanh Hoi is the riverside ward within District 4 centered on Ben Van Don street, which Saigoneer and The Dot Magazine have flagged as a rising strip for craft cocktail bars, specialty coffee shops, and rooftop dining in 2026.

1. The Living Room wine bar

The first stop anchors you. The Living Room is where the course starts because the night needs a warm base before you step back into the open air. A wine bar with global bottles and cheese from the oven, rated high enough that the mood is reliable. This sets the tempo: seated, low-lit, no agenda yet.

Crew's note

The glass waits. The candle takes its time.

2. Bach Dang Quay Park

The course ends at the quay because after wine and conversation, the body wants air and a longer view. Bach Dang sits along the river with monuments and a lit bridge after dark. It's a park, not a venue, which means the night tapers instead of cutting off. You leave when you're ready.

Crew's note

The grass is empty. The heat does that.

Great place to walk, relax, coffe break. Very nice design park.

The walk between

Ben Van Don connects the two, the strip Saigoneer named for its rising bar scene. You're moving from interior to open river, from candles to bridge light.

  • Start late enough that the wine bar has settled in, after 9 if you want the softer lighting that a few visitors mention.
  • Pair this route with cooler months when the riverside walk at night doesn't fight you. October onward.

FAQ

Is the wine selection affordable?
One visitor noted the prices are not cheap and suggested the pours could be more generous. Another found a bottle of Australian Sauvignon Blanc very reasonable, so it likely depends on what you order and whether you go by the glass or bottle.
Is the park fully accessible right now?
At least one recent visitor reported that part of Bach Dang Quay Park was under construction or maintenance, calling the entire area a construction site. Check current conditions if you're planning to spend extended time there rather than a short stroll.
